How to Care?

  • It prefers bright indoor areas where it gets enough sunlight for its growth, especially in the winter season.
  • Ensure to balance the watering sessions as overwatering is a significant issue they face.
  • Use a pot for your Dieffenbachia plant with a drainage hole to allow the plant to release the excess water.
  • Use a fast-draining, well-aerated potting mixture for your Dieffenbachia so that it doesn’t get soggy.
  • Also, they like being moist, so don’t let them dry out completely. Water minimum twice a month when the topsoil dries out completely.  
  • Choose a balanced diluted fertilizer and apply it every 4-6 weeks to feed them the proper nutrients.
  • Clean the plant with a wet cloth and remove all the dirt to protect your Dieffenbachia from pests and insects.
  • Both overwatering and underwatering can turn the leaves yellow of the plants.
  • The leaves may start drooping once it starts receiving too much sunlight.
  • Also, it may start drooping once placed in cold areas or drafty windows.
  • It is recommended not to buy the plant if you have pets at home as it is highly poisonous to pets.
  • Keep the plant away from AC vents as they can burn the leaves by drying all the moisture from the plant.
